| Title: | Avaliação in vitro do efeito de agentes clareadores externos em substrato dental bovino e humano |

| Abstract (native): | O objetivo geral deste estudo foi avaliar o efeito de agentes clareadores externos em esmalte dental bovino e humano. Foram avaliados diferentes produtos disponíveis comercialmente para realização de clareamento dentário: cremes dentais clareadores e géis de peróxido de carbamida e hidrogênio utilizados na técnica caseira, supervisionada pelo cirurgião-dentista. A ação dos cremes dentais clareadores foi avaliada em dois diferentes substratos: esmalte dental humano e bovino. Devido às diferenças nos protocolos de aplicação dos produtos clareadores e nas metodologias dos estudos, estes foram divididos em três capítulos: Capítulo 1: Artigo 1: Avaliação do efeito de diferentes cremes dentais clareadores na rugosidade e topografia superficial de esmalte dentário bovino. Capítulo 2: Artigo 2: Avaliação do efeito de diferentes cremes dentais clareadores na rugosidade e topografia superficial de esmalte dentário humano. Capítulo 3: Artigo 3: Análise da alteração de cor, rugosidade e topografia superficial de esmalte dentário bovino submetido a diferentes agentes clareadores caseiros. |
| Abstract (english): | The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of external bleaching agents in bovine and human dental enamel. There were evaluated different products commercially available for performing tooth whitening: whitening toothpastes and carbamide peroxide gels and hydrogen used in at-home technique, supervised by the dentist. The action of the dental bleaching creams was evaluated in two different substrates: human and bovine dental enamel. Due to differences in application protocols of bleaching products and methodologies of the studies, these were divided into three chapters: Chapter 1: Article 1: Effect of different whitening toothpastes on the roughness and surface topography of dental enamel. Chapter 2: Article 2: Effect of different whitening toothpastes on the roughness and surface topography of human tooth enamel. Chapter 3: Article 3: Analysis of color change, surface roughness and topography of bovine dental enamel submitted to different home bleaching agents. |
