Title: Correr com rinocerontes

Abstract (native): Esta dissertação se inscreve na área de concentração de Escrita Criativa e compreende uma obra de ficção e um ensaio reflexivo. Narrado por seu protagonista, o romance Correr com Rinocerontes investiga as experiências de uma família de Porto Alegre, intelectualizada e esclarecida, que tem sua vida e suas relações drasticamente alteradas após um violento acidente envolvendo um de seus membros. O ensaio breve que acompanha o romance expõe elementos da gênese da obra e busca relacionar lembranças, memória e escolha da voz narrativa.
Abstract (english): This work falls within the Creative Writing area and comprehend a fictional and a reflexive essay. Narrated by its protagonist, the novel “Correr com Rinocerontes” investigates the life of an intellectualized and enlightened family living in Porto Alegre city, whose life and relations were drastically changed after a violent accident involving one of its members. The brief essay accompanying the novel exposes elements of the genesis of the work and seeks to relate memories, memory and choice of narrative voice.
