Quando elas falam : relato e ficção

Abstract

This dissertation presents life reports and short stories based on the testimonies of women who have gone through critical or discriminatory situations in society. The work is divided into two parts: the first one is essayistic and the other creative. In the essay, I reflect on the methodology and technique of writing life reports, on the so-called character literature, and on the poetic transposition between the reports and the short stories. The creative part contains six reports and six short stories about the following themes: domestic and sexual violence, metastatic breast cancer, maternity, physical disability, transsexuality and the position of black women.
