Retratos familiares : a teatralização da pose através das fotopinturas na região centro-sul paranaense (1940 a 1980)

Abstract

This thesis research aims to problematize the construction of the study of photopaintings in the scenario of the central-southern region, in the state of Paraná, in the period from 1940 to 1980, date of the establishment of this photographic practice and subsequent decline. To this end, a set of 42 images of families from Paraná was selected as the object of analysis, as well as interviews were conducted with those portrayed or their descendants, in the quest to reveal the possible interpretations that condition this imagery treatment and its discursive visuality, rethinking a scenario of identities through the visual scope and methodology of oral history. The referred region has a relevant contingent of families with Ukrainian, German, Italian descent, but also Indigenous people who constituted these regional ethnic borders. The work is based on a theoretical framework that favors reflection on cultural practices and languages, in which documents will be used that will serve as supports or connecting threads in the articulation of fhotopainting as objects of historical studies, which allow thinking about imagery perpetuation, the perception of the family landscape, the representations, in addition to the sensibilities of the environment that are part of the articulation and production of family memory.
