Fraternidade universal : horizonte e caminho de superação da violência

Abstract

The dissertation examines, based on the Magisterium of Pope Francis, universal fraternity at the same time as a horizon and as a means of overcoming violence. In Laudato Si, in Fratelli Tutti and in Evangelii Gaudium, the Pontiff, sensitive to signs of the times, outlines the expressions of violence against the Common Home, Society, and including, the Church. According to the Pope, the manifestations of violence arise from two paradigms: the anthropocentrism and the technocracy. In order to overcome the phenomenon of violence, as identified by the Pope, it appeals to a theorical justification in the Holy Scriptures which serves as inspiration. This is the biblical path to restoring fraternity: From Cain to Jesus. Finally, according to Francis, based on the documents Laudato Si’, Fratelli Tutti and Evangelii Gaudium, universal fraternity is possible, but it challenges the humanity to commit to creaturely fraternity, interreligious fraternity and fraternity in and from the Church
