Abstract

This research work aims to explore the international circulation network of the Front for the Liberation of Mozambique (FRELIMO) regarding the political activity of women, from its beginnings, in 1962 to 1973, the year of the creation of the Mozambican Women's Organization. In this way, this research recovered the political trajectory of Celina Simango, Janet Mondlane, Priscilla Gumane, Josina Machel, Deolinda Guezimane and Marina Pachinuapa. Without which, it would be impossible to understand the complexity and scope of the FRELIMO women's movement on a global scale. This research maintains as its main focus the analysis of the FRELIMO women's movements organized in the Liga Feminina de Moçambique (LIFEMO), in the Women's Detachment (DF) and in the Mozambican Women's Organization (OMM). Special attention is paid to the statements recorded in historical sources selected in the context of international travel and which are part of a broad debate on the emancipation of women. From this stage, it is possible to observe the ambiguities of the emancipatory project reformulated by FRELIMO, after 1968. With this, the differences and modifications of the trajectory of mobilization and framing of women within the Liberation Front are questioned, which, when reflecting the political situation in that were organised, give meaning to FRELIMO's political and ideological Project
