Governo Ildo Meneghetti e a reforma agrária (1963-1964) : discurso de governo e manutenção da ordem conservadora

Abstract

During the nationalist government of Leonel Brizola (PTB), Rio Grande do Sul experienced the principle of adoption of policies of agrarian reform and the advent of mobilization of rural workers, by MASTER. So this relegates to his successor Ildo Meneghetti (PSD), a State with a strong social mobilization which claimed an agrarian reform according to the landless farmers goals. These days, therefore, this dissertation wants analyze the relation from the government Meneghetti speech with the context of social and politician radicalization, which lead to the civil-military coup in 1964. We have as goal the comprehension from groups that were in power, in the period that precedes the falling of the reformist project from president João Goulart (PTB) and the southern government relation with the vindicated moviments in countryside. Besides, the direction and the conception of agrarian reform from Ildo Meneghetti.
