Por entre brenhas, picadas a foice, matas bravas : a produção poética em Mato Grosso no século XX e XXI

Abstract

The poetic production in Mato Grosso effectively gain visibility up to the first decades of the twentieth century, when in Brazil, emerges the modernism in an attempt to break with the literary passadismo. What we have in the literary production in Mato Grosso, especial in the poetry, is that even in full mood of modernism, the literature on the state lives under a variety of aesthetic that converges and clashes themselves until the mid-twentieth century, when emerges the modern schools of literature. However, even with this insertion, there are numerous aesthetics that fit into the literary productions of the authors, the corpus of this paper. Thus, this research was born with dual purpose: verify the aesthetic relation between the production of Don Aquino Correa, José de Mesquita, Silva Freire, Wlademir Dias Pino and Manoel de Barros, as well as see how the man and the territory of Mato Grosso are represented within the literary production of these authors, checking the regionalist intent and in what proportion this intent is launched in the universal.
